It is our understanding that even if you use the item deletion functions there is a bug in System 21 that the items don't really go away and where companies that want to use the number again, you can't. It is also our understanding that is a very long process to delete items with transaction history, inventory, etc. I know this isn't a direct answer to your question but I'm making sure you know some of the challenges. Good Luck. We also believe that is probably not wise to delete items that have transactions, and in our situation these transactions have impacted GL through AFI. We have about 2000 items, some of which have balances, that need to be zeroed out, and deleted. It is our desire to make it impossible for these items to have transactions posted against them in the future. We also don't want to look at them on JBA reports, etc. We know that long term, archiving is a part of the solution, but we are not ready for that step right now. Is there a solution? +--- | This is the JBA Software Users Mailing List! | To submit a new message send your mail to JBAUSERS-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to JBAUSERS-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to JBAUSERS-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner: doug333@aol.com. +--- +--- | This is the JBA Software Users Mailing List! +---
