Hello, I hope that someone in the group is able to help us solve a major Stock Allocation problem. It seems that one of our Warehouse Managers found it necessary to change the Allocation Time Fence (3/OEM) on the Depot Profile record (OEP90). When he changed it back, he fat fingered the keyboard and entered 97 days, rather than the normal 7 days. This error was not caught until after someone ran a Batch Allocation (10/OER) for that warehouse. We do a great deal of EDI, and had thousands of orders in the system that we were not ready to allocate. Subsequent customer requirements would have surely amended, or perhaps cancelled the majority of these orders. Additionally, this has created a nightmare for our material planners as they try to anticipate our purchasing requirements for the next quarter. I have scoured the System 21 documentation in a failed attempt to locate a method for Batch De-allocation of inventory. Has anyone else experienced this kind of problem? If so, what was your solution? If you wrote an automated solution, are you in a position to share it? TIA, Jeff Jeff Lang IS Manager General Fasteners Company 12999 Fairlane Rd.
