This is an extremely complex situation with performance impacts across the
board.
It may be a situation where the children should be OE Delivery Addresses
rather than AR Customers.
I am intrigued as to how/why/what you are trying to achieve.  can you
describe the customer base?

No, @ctive Reporter will not work.  All you can do is build the hierarchies.
Do you have 2000 children per check location, that is, do you receive one
check that may contain uo to 2000 customers?  Are these 2000 customers
different ship-to's or truly unique customers?

Our hierarchy issue is with accounts receivable; we have hierarchies that
