Hi Ray,
This problem MAY be resolved easily. If you have not changed the "costing
route" value in the parents item master to read route "2" and when
performing your cost roll up you specify use the costing route, that is your
problem. If this helps, terrific, if not please call me, or email me at
"www.compasslead.com. I have had a lot of experience with costing in
manufacturing, and JBA both standard and style products.

Have a good day,
John

Subject: Route Costing

Our company is running JBA 3.5.2B SB2 and we have a problem in using Route1
and Route2 in manufacturing costing. We are trying to keep route1 frozen and
route2 current. Problem arises when changing a component item -
(manufactured item being consumed in Bill of Material) in route2 - i.e.
change in labor rate, material quantity etc. After updating JBA, for both
component and parent (in that order) in route 2 - the parent part in route2
will reflect component costing from route1 rather than the changes made to
route2 component. - Basically on the parent route2, component items are
costing out @ route1 component cost rather than route2 component cost. Was
wondering if anyone has experienced this problem and if so what was the fix?
