Blanket PO's vs Scheduled PO's -> What's the difference? -- SYSTEM21

We currently use scheduled PO's, but I am wondering what the ramifications would be if we switched to blanket. We are thinking it would be simpler to amend PO's and receive parts because the qty's of the deliveries don't have to equal the total PO amount.

Any problems with 3 way match, etc? Any thoughts would be appreciated...
