Lorena,
you asked:

Only once a month at month end.

And does

The process of forecasting is taking shipped orders and predicting the
future. If you mean is the new forecast for current period include the
demand generated from the shipped product in that period I do not think so.
My understanding is forecasts are only generated for future periods not
current. If however you mean are the future periods affected by the
shipments in the current period the answer is it depends on the forecasting
code but most do include the current period in their calculations. This is
the reasoning we used in only transferring once per period. We also use the
greater of forecast or current orders in any future period but only use
current orders for the current period.

At least this is what we do.
