We are in the unfortunate situation where we need to change the structure of our
product numbers.

Quite simply our current structure is nnnn-nn where the first four digits are
the product code and the last two digits are the pack size, e.g. 4500-25

The problem that we have is that we have run out of product codes and so we wish
to change our structure to nnnnn-nn (adding an extra digit), to maintain
consistency across product numbers we want to change our existing product
numbers to have an extra zero at the end, so my example product above would
become 45000-25.

We of course want to retain our product history and so all history records will
need to be changed to reflect the new code as well as changing the product file.

Question: Is this possible, has someone written a bespoke program to do this.

Thanks in advance.
Gary.
