I attended the Geac/JBA Customer Tour in Novi, MI in March and was pretty
excited by President, Harry Debes, comments about Geac focusing on
communications with existing customers. Everyone knew about JBA's lack of
communication prior to the acquisition but his words were encouraging.

It's been over three months since that meeting and our company has not seen
any changes. We don't hear from our Sales Representative. Carrie Manion,
Geac VP Sales, assured customers that attended the tour, that they should
expect to hear from their Sales Representative "at lease on a weekly basis".
I sent E-Mails and voice mails to our rep. over a week ago to confirm
arrangements the we made with a Geac consultant to be at our manufacturing
facility in July, and also to confirm continued AS/400 maintenance when our
warranty expires in August and have not heard back from him.

I just hung up with the phone with Geac technical support, which prompted
this note. After ringing at lease 12 times I received their voice mail.
This has happened several times in the last couple of weeks and its
frustrating to say the least. I had called IBM to order some AS/400
software and was told I have to get it through Geac since that is who I
purchased my AS/400 from. At least, IBM answered their phone.

We were also promised a monthly "Newswire" via E-Mail and a quarterly
newsletter from Geac. I haven't seen anything. Has anyone else?

I really don't want to see this communication that we have here turn into a
Geac bitch session or to bash Geac but right now I don't feel very
comfortable about the way that they are treating customers and all of my
contacts that I had at JBA, that would at least listen to my issues, are
gone.

Thanks for listening. What are your thoughts?
