We are currently investigating MRP's use of lead time in both
manufactured and purchased parts. To this point we have found that for lead
time to have any effect we must set position 15 of the parameter WTYP to a
value of "3".
This is based on the following code in MRP process program MR030.

C MOVE 'WTYP' PRMT91
C MOVE *BLANK PRMK91
C MOVE PWSCW2 PWSCWK
C MOVE WTYPW2 WTYPWK

Further down in the code is a check of the parameter code value in the
last position.

We have tested many different scenarios using lead time values in
MSP04, INP60 and the Item/Supplier profile.

Has anybody else had experience with this? If so, what have you found?

Thanks,

Steve Haessler
