Style description 17 characters.... -- SYSTEM21

× The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

In style 3.5.1, the description field APP25/DSTL25 (Style description) is
only 17 characters.  In contrast the item description in the parts master
file (INP35/PDES35 Item description) is 36 characters long.

I am having a hard time trying figure out why these fields vary so much in
length.  The response I've heard is 'that was the way it was written'.  (So
much for consistency).

Any comments or past experience would be appreciated.
