When looking at the verify allocations function with STRM400, the screen displays the following message when the job ended abnormally: THIS JOB HAS FINISHED WITHOUT DE-ALLOCATION THIS IS BECAUSE THE JOB HAS BEEN CANCELED WHILE ON JOBQ OR ACTIVE DE-ALLOCATION (F13) IS RECOMMENDED I am attempting to find out how JBA determines whether the job is still active or not because we need to do something similar. File APG02PHY contains a log of all applications started and ended, but I cannot determine if the job is still truely active or not. I have found a utility that uses user spaces that will check for an active job, and it does seem to work and it's fast! I may end up using it, but does anyone else have any easier ideas? ****************************** Jim Sehi Sr. Programmer/Analyst Hach Company 5600 Lindbergh Drive Loveland, Colorado 80538 Email: jsehi@hach.com Phone: 970-663-1377 x2538 Fax: 970-669-2932 ****************************** +--- | This is the JBA Software Users Mailing List! | To submit a new message send your mail to JBAUSERS-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to JBAUSERS-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to JBAUSERS-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner: doug333@aol.com. +---
