I agree with Phil. You are either going to have different paths for special values (don't recommend it, lots of code) or build the command string piecewise and use QCMDEXC to perform the CRTUSRPRF. Elvis -----Original Message----- It may be that the VCP for CRTUSRPRF doesn't like an entry for the LIB part of these parms, when the program part is *NONE. Although the error doesn't show it, I think this is the issue; For example INLPGM(*NONE / ) is what the VCP doesn't like being passed, instead of INLPGM(*NONE) for the cases where a special value (i.e. *NONE) is allowed for a parameter. If you prompt a working command that uses *NONE and do a F14, you'll see what I mean. HTH, --phil
