This is probably a work around to CAE requiring that NT/W2K and OS/400 user profiles match when the client is WIN9*. If the client is NT or W2K then you have the ability to log on to OS/400 with a different user profile than the one used for Windows. IBM has recommended to me when I called about this problem to either synchronize all the user profiles between NT and OS/400, create a guest login for NetServer, or upgrade the clients to NT or W2K workstation. What we did was leave the clients that need mapped drives at Client Access V3R2 where this isn't an issue.
