The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

If you want to stick with RPG then ILEastic is a very good opportunity
to dive into web services and getting a feeling for it without spending
any money. It also offers several plugins so you can run it side by side
with any other web service.
And you probably don't want to use AngularJS (because that would be
Angular in version 1.x) but rather a current Angular.
Angular is a great framework and is a one-stop-shop for the web
development. You'll get almost everything you need which is very nice.
It is also very actively developed.
But the pro side can also be the down side of it. Because Angular is
developed at such a fast pace it costs your time to keep up with
updating your applications. The Angular team also likes to break things
from time to time (which is ok between major versions but it costs time
to update your own applications to the new version).
Just my 2 cents.

Hi All,
I’m looking for a tool to help modernize our IBMi application screens into
a GUI. Our plan is to use AngularJS for the front end, and we need to
convert all IBMi screen programs into APIs, which will be utilized for the
GUI screens. The majority of the subfiles in the IBMi applications
are single-page with data queue approach.
Additionally, the web services for these APIs can either be deployed on the
IBMi (via IWS, HTTP Server with CGI, etc.) or on a separate Windows server
(such as Java Web Services) — either approach will work for us.
If anyone has suggestions for the best tools available in the market to
help convert the IBMi screen programs into APIs, I would appreciate your
input.
Regards,
Suren
