The switching "off" green is not needed per my experience.

And of course, you have to look at all attributes, because colors and attributes are coded with overlapping hex-codes in the 5250 data stream - means, you cannot have every color/attribute combination. For example DSPATR(HI) means the same as COLOR(WHT) - COLOR(YLW) has column separators active automatically - COLOR(RED) is like DSPATR(BL) - and so on.

In fact, after "inventing" color terminals, IBM effectively recycled some DSPATR to COLOR codes. From what I've seen in the DDS Reference manual, these are highly interchangeable without issue.

Depending on the terminal/emulator and their respective configuration settings you might see the color *and* the recycled attribute at the same time on a color terminal.
