Hi DR2,

this should work in the form that you have to code both colors, that the field should have - example:

A FIELD 10Y 2 O +1EDTCDE(P)
A N50 COLOR(GRN)
A 50 COLOR(RED)

And of course, you have to look at all attributes, because colors and attributes are coded with overlapping hex-codes in the 5250 data stream - means, you cannot have every color/attribute combination. For example DSPATR(HI) means the same as COLOR(WHT) - COLOR(YLW) has column separators active automatically - COLOR(RED) is like DSPATR(BL) - and so on.

Just look that you have color and attributes for *IN50 = *ON and *OFF - then it should work.

HTH and kind regards,
Daniel

Greetings,

I have a need to change the color attribute of a field in the subfile
record of a subfile, based on an indicator.

ex:

CO Total

2 300

5 499-

6 15

If the total number is negative I need to change the color to Red.
Now, I would think that a simple 50 COLOR(RED) on that field would do
the trick prior to the sfl record write, BUT, that's evidently not
supported.

How can I make this happen?

Thanks

DR2
