Yes my STMF is CCSID 1208. This is what I'm doing:

CREATE TABLE PTIDWW/INTLZU00 (
RECID *BIGINT* GENERATED ALWAYS AS IDENTITY (
START WITH *1* INCREMENT BY *1*
NO MINVALUE NO MAXVALUE
NO CYCLE NO ORDER
CACHE *20* ) ,
"DATA" *VARCHAR*(*2048*) CCSID *1208* NOT NULL DEFAULT '' ) ;

But CPYTOIMPF like this and then FTP the file down as BIN to me I see bad
data.
CPYTOIMPF FROMFILE(INTLZU00)
TOSTMF('/tmp/art/FEDEX.CSV')
MBROPT(*REPLACE)
STMFCCSID(1208)
RCDDLM(*CRLF)

You say you save the data to the IFS and "it looks good". Did you check the
file CCSID and the CCSID of the content you stored to it?
Do not just assume it is correct.

We are receiving JSON with many different countries. We save the JSON to
the IFS and the data looks good.

When we copy it to a table we get garbage. Can I just make that table or
some of those columns in the table a different CCSID? Is there one CCSID
for this like UTF-8?

Trying to hurry up something that wasn't planned. If there's no easy way
just to move the data around I'll be looking into setting it up from the
start.

Thanks for any ideas.
