Reggie,

You say you use AFPTOOL. What is the printer device type of the spooled
files in question? Because AFPTOOL alone can do the PDF conversion, but
it's a raster PDF. So you'd need to increase the fonts in the spooled file
itself.

If the spooled file is *SCS (plain text) then SPLTOOL could be used instead
and you could use the SPLPDFCFG (SPLTOOL PDF Configuration) setup to
actually set the size of the document itself, the font size and the
spacing.

Either way the end user has the ability to zoom the PDF to make things
easier to see.

I wrote programs that create PDFs for a health claims processing company.
I create the PDF using printer files and using AFPTOOL to first copy the
printer file to a TIFF file and then convert the TIFF file into a PDF.
The company has received a requirement to be able to provide large print
for those members who document larger print as a preference.
I have tried many approaches such as changing fonts, point size, chrsiz,
etc. But I can get the characters to only increase to roughly a point size
of 16 but no larger. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Reggie
