The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.

Suppose I want to have two cursors (one as a primary file, read only;
the other as a full procedural file, read/write) on the same file.
And the situation is such that there's no problem with scatter-gather
using the same field names.
The idea is that the program is going to ride The Cycle through the
file. After every 1000 records, it's going to process those records, and
then go back through the records it's just read, and plug values into
several fields on those records.
I could of course use a logical for one of them, but I vaguely recall
seeing something fairly recently, about a way to just open the same file
twice.
Can anybody refer me to what I might have seen?
