Are you opening your file with notepad?

When we generate CSV's we put the numbers in there correctly, but when
users open the source file in excel (and possibly save it) the CSV file is
corrupted.

I cannot control or alter the source of the import files.
two columns have long strings of digits, account numbers, most are
readable, but some like
1.10001E+12 (scientific notation).
Is there a rpgle or db2 sql method to convert these back exactly to the
numbers they exported via .csv file?
User intervention, at this time, is not an option.
I read thru the thread history, in fact i had one a number of years ago,
but in that instance i controlled the source of the data.
Thank you,
