Jason, I have a modified version of Scotts SMTPR4 that I added TLS to.
It is working for me but has only had rudimentary testing.
I can send it to you if interested.

Back in the day I used Aaron Bartell's RPGMail utility to send emails
from IBM i in RPG. I've ran across a situation where I need to do that
again, but the SMTP I need to connect to is using TLS, and I don't think
Aaron ever put that into his Java programs. I would use Python to send
the email but the IBM i is older and cannot support newer Python.
Without using a 3rd party product is anyone sending emails from RPG
using a Java utility or the like?
