You know... I need to dig deeper. I was using yajl_get_string() to get
the value, and I bet that is where the limit is. I guess I didn't think
about it since to test the data I was using yajl_save_string_stmf() and all
the data was there.

I went for my daily walk and thought about it and the light when off when
I thought about it. :)

If that is indeed true then I would say it is a bug Brad.

This is sort of a followup to my question about the base64 decode
routines
bombing.

I found the problem is when I use %len(%trimr(field)) and field size is
char > 65535 this will always return 65535 instead of the actual length
(in
this case it's about 125k).

I can't find anything in the docs about this.

I'm sure I'm missing something... ideas? In this case I defined the
field
as char(500000) for a test.

I tried setting it as varying and still the same result when using
%len().
Always get 65535.
