Seems like this should be relatively simple, yet here I am. I'm not sure
why I struggle with this concept.
I would like to Select field1, field2, field3 directly into an array
Each field is 40 characters in length.
DCL-S MyArray char(40) dim(3);
But it seems we can't select directly into a "dimensioned array".
So, Is the best solution to define the DS with an overlay?
dcl-ds myDS qualified;
myData char(120) pos(1) inz;
myArray char(40) dim(3) pos(1);
end-ds;
Exec Sql
Select field1 || field2 || field 3 into :myDS.myData
From TABLE Where ...
