It's not my intention to be ugly, but you should really think more carefully about your questions and give more background information.

From the types of questions I have seen from you, it seems that you are a newbie to the platform. Being new to IBM i is a /good/ thing, but please consider that most of us have daytime jobs and don't have that much time for guesswork at helping you solve your problems, and I'd rather spend my evenings with the family, not answering technical questions.

For example, in this case, I would have at least given the names and attributes of the files/fields that you are attempting to join so as to eliminate confusion on the part of those of us who are attempting to help you.

Perhaps cut and paste portions of the DDS/DDL used to create the files, showing the relevant fields, thus eliminating the guesswork.

Also, Eric Raymond wrote an excellent blog on 'How to Ask Question the Smart Way."
