Why do you want to create logical files to replace system advised indexes?

The system will always determine if it has the LF's it can use and if not, it will recreate temporary indexes, even if you create the LF. This is because the OS may be creating a different type of index that is quicker for the system to use. You will see these indexes in the index advisors in both ACS and the older access client.

My suggestion is to not create what you think you need unless you are using a LF directly in a RPG/Cobol program. The index advisor will show you what it needs and it allows you to create the indexes from within the index advisor.
