AFAIK you cannot Position a line at the bottom - it would only work, if the line would be on the bottom, if you were paging from the start.

The subfile position is determined by a record number, but it only guarantees that this record number is displayed on the screen - not exactly where on the screen.

As others suggested - if you need some sort of latest record first, try a descending order - maybe using dynamic SQL, so you only have to change the order clause and reload the subfile - without any further RPG logic involved.

Subject: Display last item of SFL

Hello Sages

I need to display several screens worth of a SFL and would like to first
display
the last SFL screen with the last item at the bottom line of that screen.
the user may then Page-Up to see previous items.
I've done such things in the (hazy) past but I fail to remember/locate a
working
PGM/DSPF.

I would appreciate any advice/example

TIA
Gad
