I would just build the subfile in reverse chronological sequence.

We do this as common practice as most users are only interested in recent
records/transactions.

For complex data we will then have a preferences option accessed by
function key or mouse button that allows the user to specify additional
details about the sequence and/or filters applied to the subfile build.

And this method can be applied to either page at a time subfile
(preferred) or build entire subfile options.

Just my 2 cents.

Cheers

Don

Subject: Display last item of SFL
Sent by: "RPG400-L" <rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Hello Sages

I need to display several screens worth of a SFL and would like to first
display
the last SFL screen with the last item at the bottom line of that screen.
the user may then Page-Up to see previous items.
I've done such things in the (hazy) past but I fail to remember/locate a
working
PGM/DSPF.

I would appreciate any advice/example

TIA
Gad
