Hi Jack,

Executing CHGJOB CCSID(37) on program initialization works.
Not fond of it, seems kludgy but we use what works.

I did not see a place in the JOBD for setting the CCSID.

Thanks,

John

Do you know - is there a different way to go about this, because all I can think to do is
execute CHGJOB CCSID(37) in the program at initialization (maybe) using qcmdexec ?
(what I'll probly try next)

Someone better informed than I am about this sort of thing may have a solution, but CHGJOB or running your jobs under a JOBD with that CCSID sounds like the easiest.
