Dieter,

I'm always wondering why you are still in the horrible IBM i world and are
still complaining about the "legacy outdated and buggy" RPG.
(BTW I've never seen any RFE from asking for any feature to make RPG bette
rand bring it into the future)
Why won't you just leave the IBM i go into the nice windows, linux or
whatever world and can write everything with the brilliant JAVA (or even use
JAVA on the IBM i).
... but java is not always the best solution for everything.
Just to stay on your wording
" wenn der Kunde des Schreiners die Schrauben mit dem Hammer reingeklopft
haben will, dann darf er sich nicht beschweren, wenn die Schrauben
anschließend wie Nägel aussehen. "
(Translation: if the carpenter's customer wants the screws to be tapped in
with a hammer, then he shouldn't complain if the screws then look like
nails.)

Mit freundlichen Grüßen / Best regards

Birgitta Hauser

Unfortunately, you'd never get everyone to agree what that

... maybe there should be a parm GENSHIT with default *NONE for all
