Jon,
With SQL I can insert a record into a table with an identity column (ie. GENERATED ALWAYS AS IDENTITY), but still override the system value with my own value (as long as it doesn't violate the uniqueness). This is done with the overriding system value clause on the insert/update statement.
I was wondering if the same can be done with native IO (but I don't think so because I guess it defaults to overriding user value).
Kind regards,
Paul

Can you be a bit more definitive about what you mean Paul? Give us an SQL example of what you want to do natively for instance ?

Hi,
Is there a way to get the SQL equivalent of overriding system value with native IO ?
Kind regards,
Paul
