I might say it is more than "it" - although AFPRSC has been around since V5R4, people are not aware of it.

And you can't use it in the OVERLAY parameters of a PRTF, so you have to move that into source - not impossible, just makes a difference.

We have replaced PAGSEG specs with AFPRSC to good results even with GIFs - PNGs are not supported on the i yet that I know of.

If possible, please include an example of your use of AFPRSC keyword and relevant parameter values.
