What about the following solution:
EvalR YourResult = '00000' + %Trim(YourCharField);

Subject: embarrassing move question
What's gone wrong!?
A PF has been populated from copying a spreadsheet from EXCEL and it now has
a 5A field with the value 1000.
The program using this file simply moves this to another file with an EVAL
operation. But the desired result is '01000' and not '1000 '
How can I avoid MOVE *ALL '0' followed by MOVE?!
