Ok I have RTM.  For me its a very steep learning curve.

After much fumbling I have got to here.  Some how GIT installed itself on my Win 7, was very automatic.

It seems to integrate with File Explorer as when I right click a directory I see options to run GIT GUI or GIT BASH

Frank@Frank-PC MINGW64 ~/QDFRTVFDAPI (master)
$ git commit
[master (root-commit) 0a63980] ~ ~ "Retrieve Display File Description (QDFRTVFD)
 3 files changed, 3316 insertions(+)
 create mode 100644 DSMFD
 create mode 100644 DSPINFO
 create mode 100644 README

But I have no clue where the GIT commit is to be stored.  Do I just keep it on my PC?

I see in the manual references to Push Remote but I have no clue as to who would be interested in having this code.

As a complete newb I may not even be asking the right question.

Also this is the RPG400 list but is there a GIT-l list on Midrange?

Thanks
Frank

I have some RPG code on the midrange wiki.  Specifically code that uses the display ffle  QDFRTVFD API
But I have no clue how to set up a repo (repository?) on Github.

I have got as far a registering on Github,  but sadly Github is a big mystery to me.

Anyone have a cheat list of how to use Github?

Frank
