Several have offered this solution - a very good one. I googled for using CL in RUNSQLSTM and found a very helpful hit in an article by Simon Hutchinson - he expands on this idea with examples of using both SQL's QCMDEXC function and the CL: syntax. He also offers an idea about how effectively to have MONMSG behavior if certain commands fail - such as CRTDTAARA if the DTAARA already exists.

May be I do not understand your problem, but when adding the CHGPF to the
source member, it will be performed if you run the SQL Script via RUNSQLSTM.

Subject: Re: . How do you change the initial size when creating DDL

Let me re-explain. Through Turnover, I am trying to promote a source file
that Creates a DDL Table.
I do not want to go back later, to use command CHGPF to give the Table an
initial number of records.
CREATE TABLE within the source file should have a way to set the initial
number of records.
... my staff does not want do this in 2 steps. CRTPF does not require 2
steps.
