Those things are now very easy to use in ACS - you don't need to run DB monitors, you can get Visual Explain over almost any SQL statement in any job.

This is a very basic and simple process and should be part of any database administrators function if you use SQL.
Read the manual or google IBM sites on the use of these commands.
