Just to wrap this part of the thread up ...

More complicated than I had hoped but ...

IBM negotiated with Perforce (Zend) to host the community repo for IBM i. Sadly IBM did not include that repo in the list used by ACS so it has to be added "by hand". A request is being made to IBM to find a way to address this so that it doesn't look as if they have "orphaned" PHP.

There is a second "more complete" repository hosted by the Seiden Group for their customers which includes a number of what are considered essential modules for IBM i users that Perforce omitted for some reason. Seiden Group are working towards making their repo open to the public - but it is not there yet and is currently only available on request.

Apologies - I could have sworn that that was how I installed the community edition.

No problem. I get fuzzy on installation details all the time.

IBM were saying only the other day in a briefing that the community edition was now the supported replacement for the Zend Server. I guess it just isn't there yet.

It might be that "supported replacement" doesn't preclude having to
point your package manager to a non-IBM repo. I didn't see/hear the
briefing, so I don't know the exact verbiage, but maybe "supported"
doesn't even mean "supported by IBM". And regardless of *who* supports
it, it could easily be different than who *hosts* it.
