Alan, only a quick glance but I read this as setting on a single indicator. QQ contains the numeric value of that indicator, (30 + plus an offset determined from the value of HH).

To set on ALL indicators, there would be no suffix to the *IN array.

The free format equivalent would something like *IN(QQ) = *On;

HTH,
Brian.

Hi everyone
Before I forget - we are on V7r3

Whenever I have to make a change to an RPG program, I ALLWAYS convert that to ILE as the first step
If the program is not a monolith, I am now converting to free as well
With that being said - I have come across a piece of code that I don't know what to do with, and its just 2 separate lines - both the same

Here is that line including the converted line before it

Qq = 30 + Hh;
C MOVE '1' *IN(QQ)

This is (I believe) switching on an indicator *in01 through *in99 inclusive
If I am wrong, by all means let me know

More importantly - how can this be converted to free

As always - all replies GREATLY appreciated
