I'm trying to parse nested JSON...
Using this JSON:
{
"elementA":"alpha",
"elementB":"bravo",

"nestedOne":"{\"elementD\":\"delta\",\"nestedTwo\":{\"elementE\":\"echo\",\"elementF\":\"foxtrot\"}",
"elementC":"charlie"
}

Look closely at the JSON and you should see that it is NOT NESTED. Look
particularly at:

"nestedOne":"{\"elementD\":\"delta\",\"nestedTwo\":{\"elementE\":\"echo\",\"elementF\":\"foxtrot\"}",

What made you think the JSON was nested? That expression is a simple
Name:Value pair. The value contains 12 escape sequences resolving to double
quotes at runtime. But all together it's a simple string value. There's NO
NESTING. YAJL correctly generates a simple RPG data structure that contains
the following subfield:

NESTEDONE varchar(72) inz('');
