I know nothing about Python... where would I even start? I'm all for learning new stuff.
I'm hesitant to change much about the process right now... much of our business has shifted to website/consumer orders in the last month or so.

I am slightly surprised no one else jumped in first. I expect that
there is some kind of futzing you can do with CCSIDs; and this is the
RPG list, so I don't want to immediately jump to a non-RPG solution.
But you know me - my recommendation is going to be to process the
tab-delimited files with Python.
