result = %char(packed_data / d_shift);
*inlr = *on;

The result was '-1234789.890000000000000000000'

This is on a 7.3 box.

What's different for you compared to me?


As I am creating a generic procedure to work with all kinds of
data, I was using the following equivalent definitions.


dcl-s packed_data packed(46 : 0) inz(-123456789);
dcl-s d_shift zoned(15 : 0) inz(100);
