DBGVIEW is one of the few compiler options that cannot be specified via H spec of CTL-OPT Richard - it has always been that way from the beginning of RPG IV.

If I recall correctly, the reason is that it would require a lot of work as the necessary environment for creating debug is set up before the compiler itself even starts running. We looked at doing it long ago but the cost just couldn't be justified. Just one of those legacies of the way debug etc. was designed.

Most people who want to get round this use a pre-processor that reads the compiler directives from the source.

Hello All,

Trying to include source by using the ctl-opt freeform setting.

The DBGVIEW(*SOURCE) option doesn't appear to be able to be used in the ctl-opt RPG header.

Is this correct ?

Thanks
