As Greg mentioned, I have MAILTOOL that will allow you to very very easily
set up sending emails on your IBM i with virtually any host or email server.

Gmail and Office 365 are both becoming very popular for the IBM i world who
are leaving behind their in house servers. Here's an article with examples
on how to use MAILTOOL with any of them. And of course you can always
