I just was looking for confirmation. I checked the manuals and Google and I don't see how I can override the WAITRCD in an RPGLE program.

I still have to issue an OVRDBF on the calling CLLE program.

You can issue a call to qcmdexc in the rpg-program with ovrdbf command before opening the file. Pay attention to the OVRSCOPE parameter in this case.
