I have provided the actual sql statement that is constructed. I don't see how the code that does the construction will enlighten you any further. It constructs the sql statement and in RPGLE it fails but in STRSQL it finds the records. Why?

Can you show us the actual code where you are building and executing the statement. I suspect something isn't happening the way it appear to you and if we can see the actual code maybe someone can spot the issue.

Alan,
I construct the sql statement, perform a prepare, and then open the cursor. When I do the fetch it fails to find the record. I copy the sql statement from the RPGLE program and paste it into STRSQL and it finds the record. I don't understand why there is a difference between the two.
