The modern web interface can use AJAX to capture some local

With browsers, developers add JavaScript to the page. You register event
handlers (functions) that gain control when any keys are pressed. Within
that function you send an asynchronous request to the server.
Now, I feel the urge to go off on a rant about how much more robust browser
user interfaces are over 5250. I must control myself...
On the other hand, at the same time I also feel the urge to go off on a
rant how much more efficient 5250 interfaces are over most HTTP interfaces.
I feel the urge to tell people to cut out the middleware that adds so much
overhead and delays browser I/O.
