This data structure has two null capable subfields. I added the two
null indicator subfields to the end of the data structure.


Don't add them to the data structure representing the selection
list. Instead, create a separate indicator array that has the same number
of elements as the number of subfields in the data structure. Then your
select statement would look as follows.

exec sql fetch c1 into :security_journal :indicator_array;

It doesn't matter that not every subfield is null capable. SQL
will handle the above just fine.
