you can secure PDF in RPG directly on the IBM i using PDF Mapping Programs (see Redbook Printing VII)

and some info here : https://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=nas8N1012302

Before I try to re-invent the wheel here, I figured I'd ask the group if
anyone has done this before.

I have a few existing PDF files that are emailed out on a regular basis. I
would like to be able to password protect those files before they go out,
but as far as I can tell the CPYSPLF and OVRPRTF commands don't have an
option for a password. So has anyone here used something like iText to
secure an already existing PDF?

Now one option I do have is to zip the PDF into a zip file as our zip
command does have a password. But, I figured I'd see if I could password
protect the PDF itself.

Thanks,

I'm asking my RPG colleagues as I'm guessing some of them have used iText
to do this already.

This doesn't appear to have anything to do with RPG programming ... it
would be more appropriate on MIDRANGE-L
