The tip says to change the srclib and the instlib. If you changed the srclib to somewhere that doesn't exist, then you are going to get errors. It's setup so you can have multiple copies of the source as well as the objects on your system. Srclib should point the source you want to compile out of. If you overwrote your old LIBHTTP with the new source, then point it to LIBHTTP. If you put the source in another library, then point the SRCLIB to the new library.

No... but we thought this installation was supposed to create everything.

I suppose we can ignore the Tip and create taking all the defaults, but that would eliminate the possibility of testing the upgrade before it being live. The operator is just trying to follow the instructions exactly including the Tip and install HTTPAPI with a new library name.
