Hi Jeff

Yes, the PTF ID is SI65471.

The only thing this does is activate printing with Host Print Transform to HP-compatible printers - you should still be able to run CPYSPLF to get a PDF, and the image should be there - here's an example of that command -

CPYSPLF FILE(SPLFNAME) TOFILE(*TOSTMF) JOB(000000/USER/JOB) TOSTMF(splfname.pdf) WSCST(*PDF)

The TOFILE and WSCST parameters have to be set this way, the rest are there to correctly specify the spooled file and what the PDF name should be.

If your issue is that you don't see anything on something printed, then you might need the PTF.

But you don't need the PTF for the image to be included - CPYSPLF will let you test that.

If the image is not on the PDF file, then you have a possible bug - call IBM Support.

Good luck, man!!

Hi Vern,

Do you happen to have a PTF number?

We're on 7.3 of the OS, btw.

Thanks!

I remember another possibility - if Jeff is on at least 7.2 and is not seeing the image when printing, he might need a PTF - IBM released a 7.3 PTF to make this work for HP manufacturer/model.

We had that problem at 7.3, and IBM gave us the PTF ID - I'm not at my work laptop so can't find it - I think a person can check the *WSCST for
*HPPCL5 for the PRTDTASTRM tag that needs to be HPPCL5C - this is needed in order to use AFPRSC.
