I’ve exclusively used the DB2 JSON functions for reading / writing JSON.

It was quite straightforward but you do need a fairly up to date version of
the OS plus possibly some TRs.

IBM have some decent examples for this.

Sorry I’m skiing in France atm so don’t have any links to hand.

Also the new DATA-INTO works well with YAJL (YAJLINTO).

Match your data structure to the JSON document... I found this easy
provided you use free-format RPG (I would not try it with fixed format)

I did a series of articles here on JSON, RPG and Scott's port of YAJL:

For JSON itself, there is a ton of information. JSON is JSON on the IBM
i, or any other system.

I have very little knowledge of JSON and am researching how to code it
inside ibm rpg programs. Where would be my best resource for
information? For one is there a good json reference book I could
purchase that would be geared for newbies? Does IBM have any sort of
reference that would contain a lot of information on json coding?

Any information to point me in the right direction would be helpful.
